Social Media Guidelines

How we engage with social media

Our social media strategy focuses on authenticity, respect, and purpose. We engage online the same way we do in person, keep conversations mission-driven, manages conflicts strategically without unnecessary escalation, and use every interaction to promote health, education, and community.

Our social media strategies are guided by five core principles:

  1. Real-Life Communication: We treat every online interaction with the same integrity, respect, and care as we would in person. Our tone is genuine, positive, and community-focused;
  2. Purposeful Engagement: We join conversations that align with our mission and values, sharing messages that promote youth wellness, prevention, and family health;
  3. Conflict Management: We respond thoughtfully and calmly, choosing to educate rather than argue. We avoid negativity and focus on maintaining a respectful and productive dialogue;
  4. Stay on Message: We keep our focus on our mission to combat childhood obesity through education, engagement, and prevention. We avoid distractions that dilute our purpose;
  5. Avoid Trolls & Shills: We do not engage with trolls, spam, or unproductive arguments. Our energy goes toward building meaningful connections and sharing stories that inspire positive action.
